In extreme sorrow, the staff of Majestic Funeral Homes are embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. George Washington Bryant. Mr. Bryant received his angelic wings on Wednesday morning, March 9, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Mr. Bryant, as he rests in tranquil repose in the main chapel at Majestic Funeral Home in Riegelwood, NC on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5pm until 7pm. Commencing at 1pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 a Service of Remembrance will take place on the grounds of New Miracle Holiness Church in Riegelwood, NC. Immediately following the farewell celebration, Mr. Bryant’s physical vessel and his cherished family will be escorted to the Bryant Family Cemetery in Riegelwood, NC for Committal Rites. As difficult as this is for Mr. George loved ones to endure this tremendous loss, consolation comes knowing that God promised to be closer than a father, grandfather,brother or friend when each of them are no longer with us. If God said it, then that settles it and He will fulfill His promises for this precious family, being anything they need just when they need it the most.
Mr. George Bryant was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Shirley Bowen Bryant; both of his parents; two of his children: George Edward Bryant and Shirley Melinda Hudson; and four siblings: Len Bryant, James D. Bryant, Magdaline Bryant, and John Wright.
Left to cherish George’s memories are two daughters: Lily Cromartie and Marilyn Harley (Ernest); six sons: George L. Bryant (Darlene), Stanland Bryant (Angela), and Warren Bryant (Sophia), all of East Arcadia, NC; Alton Bryant (Lillian) of Youngsville, NC; Erwin Bryant (Janice) of Columbia, SC; Gregory Bryant (Deloris) of Wilmington, NC. Raised by Mr. George Bryant and just like his children: Michelle Bryant and Krystal Bryant, both of Greensboro, NC; Fabian Bryant and Jeffrey Bryant, both of East Arcadia, NC; twenty-nine grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Azalea Graham of Riegelwood, NC; Neva Lloyd of Riegelwood, NC; Sadie Lawton of Wilmington, NC; two brothers-in-law: Ezra Whorley of Alexandria, VA and William Lawton of Wilmington, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Guests are being received at the residence located at 902 Bowen Blanks Rd., Riegelwood, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
