Jimmy Harvey Martin, age 72 of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Durham VA Medical Center.
Jimmy was born on July 5, 1949, in Loris, SC, to the late Dave Martin and Veona Virginia Frink Martin.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 1907 Richardson Road, Bladenboro. Interment with military honors will follow in the Singletary Cemetery, located at 375 Old Boardman Road, Bladenboro, NC 28320
Jimmy was a disabled veteran serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Walters Martin of the home; children, Jamie Brisson of St. Pauls, Williams Brisson (Melissa) of Laurinburg, Samuel Ray Owens, Jr. of St. Pauls, Jennifer C. Goodwin (Richard) of Olney, IL; siblings, Frances M. Davis of Bladenboro, David Martin (Kay) of Whiteville, NC and Tony Byrd of Clinton; grandchildren, Chelsea Carlyle, Williams Brisson, Jr., Kiley Owens, Samuel Owens, III, Rylan Goodwin, and Brett “Little Buddy” Goodwin.
