NBA Last Night:  The Cavaliers lost to the Hornets 119-98. Terry Rozier led Charlotte with 29 points and 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The Hornets are back on the floor Friday versus the Spurs at 7pm in the Spectrum Center. 

Pacers beat the Magic 122-114 in overtime 

Knicks fall to the 76ers 123-108 

Heat gets nipped by the Bucks 120-119 

Kings fall to the Pelicans 125-95 

Jazz on the road beat the Rockets 132-127 

Nuggets lost to the Thunder 119-107 

Trail Blazers gets fried by the Suns 120-90

Local Sports:  Whiteville Wolfpack Girls Soccer 5-3 over Scotland. The Lady Wolfpack travels to St. Pauls tonight. The game starts at 6pm. 

Whiteville Wolfpack Men’s Tennis is at Clinton today at 4:30pm 

Whiteville Wolfpack regular season opened last night and they beat Fairmont 9-2. Ty Lawson was the Columbus County News Player of the Game with 12 strikeouts and 5 RBI’s. 3-run blast off the water tank in center field and a bases clearing double accounted for Lawson’s runs batted in.  

The Whiteville Wolfpack JV Baseball team also won 6-1. 

The Wolfpack is back in action tomorrow night, first pitch is 6pm, at Legion Stadium, versus New Hanover.
