A local couple with four children could soon be reunited – in court.

Heliodoro Noyola Jr., 34, was returned to Columbus County Wednesday after he was arrested in Conway Feb. 6. Noyola faces charges of trafficking in cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for drug activities, failure to secure a firearm, four counts of misdemeanor child abuse, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, failure to appear, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a weapon of mass destruction. His bond was set at $61,500, pending a court appearance. He gave addresses of 551 E. Second Ave., Chadbourn and 7920 Hallsboro Rd. South, Hallsboro.

In Conway, Noyola was charged with being a fugitive from justice, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of cocaine, and simple possession of marijuana.

Noyola’s wife Victoria, 27, was arrested on Feb. 26, 2021, after a month-long search.

In a press release, the sheriff’s office reported that Vice-Narcotics investigators developed information that drugs were being stored and sold at the Noyola home in Hallsboro. The SWAT team and detectives raided the property after multiple undercover drug purchases took place there.

On Jan. 26, 2021, deputies and detectives executed a search warrant. Inside the home, the CCSO said, they found four small children with no adult supervision. One of the children was in a bedroom with a loaded, sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun. They also allegedly found loose marijuana on a table within easy access of the children. Scales, paraphernalia, packaging material used for drugs, cocaine and marijuana were also in the home. Approximately 183 grams of marijuana and 76 grams of cocaine were confiscated.

When investigators called Mrs. Noyola, she refused to speak with the detectives, and hung up the phone. The Department of Social Services was called in to care for the children.

Exactly a month later, Mrs. Noyola was picked up in a traffic stop at Ramsey Ford Road and N.C. 905 in Nakina. She was charged with four counts of misdemeanor child abuse, failure to secure a firearm to protect a minor, trafficking in cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep/store a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver marijuana, and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.  She received a $310,500.00 secured bond.
