MLB: Spring training opens today across the league.
Tennis: Naomi Osaka stops her match in tears after female heckler from the crowd screamed “You Suck!” multiple times. She then approached the chair umpire and asked for the heckler to be removed from the crown. The heckler went unidentified, and the match had to continue with a sadden Osaka. After the match Naomi addressed the crowd and explained why it affected her so much. The crowd showed loved and helped Osaka through her tough time.
NFL: The Cowboys sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns for future draft picks.
NBA: Delonte West, former NBA player and recovering alcoholic and addict, makes the cut at the Big 3 tryout and gets an invitation to the Big 3 combine in Las Vegas.

NHL Last Night: The Hurricanes beat the Flyers 3-1. Sabastian Aho, Vincent Trocheck and Steven Lorantz scored for Carolina. Frederik Andersen was in net for Carolina, he stopped 28 of 29 shot against him. The Hurricanes are now 41-12-5 on the season and remain in first place in the Metropolitan division. Carolina is back on the ice today in Pittsburgh versus the Penguins. The puck drops at 1pm

NCAA Men’s Basketball: Selection Sunday is tonight at 6pm on CBS, with the first games starting Tuesday March 15. The NCAA Championship game will be April 4 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Yesterday: Davidson wins 84-69 over St. Louis. Foster Loyer finished with 21 points and Luka Brajkovic ended the game with a 14 point and 10 rebound double-double for the Wildcats. Davidson is facing the Richmond Spiders TODAY in the Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament final; the game is already underway.
Duke loses a to the number seven seed Virginia Tech 82-67. Virginia Tech is the lowest seed to ever win the ACC Championship earning the spot into March Madness. Paolo Banchero finished the game with 20 points for the Blue Devils. Duke now focuses on March Madness and Coach K’s final games. Duke is projected to be in the number two or three seed; placement is tonight for Selection Sunday at 6pm on CBS.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Noah Gragson looked sharp as he wins the United Rentals 200 in Phoenix. It is Gragson’s second top three finish in two weeks. The next Xfinity Series race is the Nally Cars 250 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 19 at 5pm on FS1.
NASCAR Cup Series: It is the Ruoff Mortgage 500 at Phoenix Raceway today in Avondale. The engines are scheduled to start Sunday at 3:30pm with TV coverage on FOX.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is back at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 19 at 2:30pm.
Local Sports: Dixie Youth Baseball registrations are going on right now through April 1, for ages 13-14 at the Whiteville Parks and recreation building. You must bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate when registering. The price is 15 dollars for city residents and 25 dollars for county residents.
T-Ball registration is currently underway through March 18 at the Whiteville Parks and Recreations building. T-Ball is for players 4-6 years old. A birth certificate is required at registration. Your child cannot turn 7 years old during the season and be 4 years old before the season starts. The cost is 15 dollars for city residents and 25 dollars for county residents.
