NFL: The NFL owners approve adjustments to the Rooney Rule. The Rooney Rule was put in place to ensure minorities got a chance to be interviewed and hired into key management roles across the teams in the league. The new caveat is that each team must hire a minority or a woman for the upcoming season.
MLB: Albert Pujols will return to the St, Louis Cardinals on a one-year deal. Pujols wanted to retire as a Cardinal.
NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four: #2 Villanova versus #1 Kansas at 5:09pm; #2 Duke faces #8 North Carolina 8:49pm. Both games are on Saturday and the NCAA Championship game will be Monday, April 4 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Basketball Classis semi-final Coastal Carolina beat South Alabama 69-68 in overtime. Rudi Williams led Coastal Carolina with 17 points. Coastal Carolina faces Fresno State at 7pm on Wednesday in the Final
Womens NCAA Tournament: UCONN Beat NC State 91-87 in 2OT. It is the first time a women’s tournament game went into double overtime. South Carolina will face Louisville. Stanford will take on Connecticut. It is the Huskies 14th straight Final Four appearance. The Final Four games will be played Friday, April 1 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Coverage will be on ESPN.
NHL Yesterday: The Hurricanes take down the Capitals 6-1. Martin Necas scored two goals, Derek Stepan, Sabastian Aho, Brett Pesce and Brady Skjei accounted for the Hurricanes goals. Frederik Andersen stopped 25-26 shots. Carolina is back on the ice in Tampa Bay versus the Lightning. The puck drops at 7pm.

NBA Last Night: The Nuggets beat the Hornets 113-109. Nikola Jokic scores 26 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists to get his 75th career triple double. That puts Jokic just two behind Wilt Chamberlains record for triple-doubles by a center. Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 27 points and 11 rebounds. LaMelo Ball finished the game with 22 points and 11 assists for Charlotte. The Hornets play the Knicks tomorrow at 7p in MSG.

Local Sports: Dixie Youth Baseball registrations are going on right now through April 1, for ages 13-14 at the Whiteville Parks and recreation building. You must bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate when registering. The price is 15 dollars for city residents and 25 dollars for county residents.
