Juanita Ward Nobles, age 81, of Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehab Center, Whiteville, NC. Born September 26, 1940 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Gurtha Ward and Lettie Johnson Ward.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Gore (Steve Hickman) of Whiteville, NC; two brothers, Elroy Ward (Sara) of Green Sea, SC and Lonnie Ward (Hilda) of Tabor City, NC; six grandchildren, Major Nobles of Tabor City, Abigail Roberson Andres of Leland, NC, Chase Gore of Whiteville, NC, Alice Roberson of Tabor City, NC, Mary Roberson of Tabor City, NC and Emma Moore of Tabor City, NC; and eight great grandchildren, Alan McPherson, Chris McPherson, Colt McPherson, Eli Porter, Landon Andres, Andrea Andres, Xavier Roberson and Bentley Nobles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Nobles and Major Fowler; one daughter, Pamela Kay Nobles; five brothers, Carl Ward, James Ward, Ralph Ward, Ernest Ward and Billy Ward; four sisters, Ruby Fowler, Mary Edwards, Ezeary Ward and Louise Bozeman; and one granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Gore.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
