4/05/22 Daily Sports Wrap Up 

NCAA Championship: North Carolina could not hold on and Kansas showed why they should be the NCAA Champions. The Tar Heels dropped a tough one 72-69. North Carolina had the game in their hands giving up just 25 points in the first half, but gave up 47 points in the second half, including a late Jayhawk three-pointer by David McCormack to seal the deal. McCormack hit a close range shot with 1:21 left in the game to take the lead for Kansas after trailing by 16 earlier. It is the largest comeback in the history of the tournament. Armando Bacot had a 15 point and 15 rebound double-double and Caleb Love finished with 13 points for the Tar Heels. It is the fourth National Championship for the Kansas Jayhawks program. 

PGA:  Tiger Woods will play in the Masters this week in Augusta, Georgia. Tiger Woods says, “I think I can win this week.” The first round starts Thursday.

Varsity Boys Baseball: Whiteville travels to Pender today. Due to pending weather conditions for this evening the Varsity Baseball game has been moved up 2.5 hours.
