NCAA: Mike Schrage resigns as men’s basketball head coach at Elon. He will return to Duke as an assistant coach according to reports. 

PGA:  Tiger Woods will play tomorrow in the opening round of the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. Tiger Woods says, “I think I can win this week.” 

NFL: Stephon Diggs signs 4-year, 104 million dollars extension with the Buffalo Bills 

NHL Last Night: Hurricanes fall to the Sabres 4-2. Nino Niederreiter and Jesper Fast scored for the Hurricanes. Frederik Andersen was in net for the Hurricanes and stopped 18 of 22 shots on net. Carolina is back on the ice at home looking for revenge against these same Sabres tomorrow at 7:30pm. 

Blue Jackets defeated the Flyers 4-2 

Avalanche beat the Penguins 6-4 

Rangers beat Devils 3-1 

Senators take care of the Canadiens 6-3 

Maple Leafs cannot handle the Panthers and lost 7-6 in overtime 

Red Wings defeat the Bruins 5-3 

Wild get taken down by the Predators 6-2 

Islanders lost to the Stars 3-2 

Oilers take on the Sharks 2-1 in overtime

NBA Last Night: Heat beat the Hornets 145-115. Miles Bridges had 29 points; P.J. Washington finished with 13 points for Charlotte. LaMelo Ball had a 18 point and 14 assist double-double for the Hornets in the loss. Charlotte is back on the court tomorrow at the Spectrum Center. They host the Magic at 7:30pm.

Rockets cannot handle the Nets 118-105 

Hawks defeated the Raptors 118-108 

Trail Blazers falls to the Thunder 98-94 

Bucks beat Bulls 127-106. Bucks clinch Central division.

Grizzlies lost to the Jazz 121-115 in overtime 

The Kings took the loss against the Pelicans 123-109 

Lakers and Suns 121-110. Suns franchise high 63-win season.The Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs.

Varsity Boys Baseball: Whiteville traveled to Pender yesterday and got the win 5-0, in a six-inning rain shortened game. Ty Lawson was on the mound and once again dominated the opposing batters.
