Lloyd Paul Ward, 73, of Arn Ward Road, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital.
Born May 9, 1949 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Solon Elmore Ward and Sadie Spivey Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Tart Ward of the home; one son, David S. Ward and wife Katie, of Supply, NC; one daughter, Paula W. Thompson and husband, Art of Whiteville, NC; two brothers, Richard Ward and wife, Betty of Whiteville, NC and Floyd Ward and wife, Rachel of Whiteville, NC; three sisters, Betty Stanley of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Sarah Smith of Lake Waccamaw, NC, and Martha Walker and husband, Ronnie of Whiteville, NC; and four grandchildren, Sadie Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Ethan Ward, and Emma Ward.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ward.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Ward Cemetery, located on the Arn Ward Rd., Whiteville, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
