Faithful from all corners of Columbus County gathered today (Thursday) at noon to pray for God’s guidance and protection for all Americans.

The four ceremonies were part of the National Day of Prayer. Held on the first Thursday of every year, the day was created to give Christians a time to coordinate prayers for the nation, world, political leaders, schools, military and children.

Services were held at the Courthouse, Tabor City stage, Chadbourn Gazebo, and the Sheriff’s Substation in Acme-Delco.
