James Larry “Peter” George, 66, formerly of Whiteville, died Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Jacksonville, FL.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A Memorial Service, with military honors, will be 12:00 PM Saturday, June 18, at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville by Rev. James L. Smith.
Surviving are his daughter, Shannon Nicole George of Reisterstown, MD; son, Tremayne DeShawn Stanley (Corenthia) of Wendell, NC; sisters, Phyllis George Barr (Darrell) of Odenton, MD and Barbara George LeSane of Whiteville, NC; brothers, Ronald L. George of Clinton, MD and Donald G. George (Audrey) of Accokeek, MD.
The family requests that floral tributes be in the form of plants.
Friends may visit the family at 69 Lattimore Avenue, Whiteville.
