Multiple felonies have been filed against a Tabor City man who allegedly choked a woman, forced her to have sex then took her car and cash.
Warrants show Whitney Leon Duncan, 52, was charged with second degree forcible sex offense, assault by strangulation, larceny of a motor vehicle and common law robbery. His bond was set at $250,000 secured, according to detention center reports. His address was listed as 301 Barry St., Tabor City. He was taken into custody Saturday.
The incident was reported May 8, and warrants were obtained the same day.
Duncan is alleged to have strangled the female victim until she was almost unconscious, the warrants show. He then had sex with her against her will, and allegedly fled in her automobile with $400 cash.
Tabor City Police investigated the case and obtained the warrants.
