Kathy Fowler Coleman 68, of Nakina passed on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center, Whiteville. She was born May 1, 1954 in Horry County, SC the daughter of the late Rudolph Fowler and Rachel Smith Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin L. “A.L” Coleman.
She was a Medical Assistant employed with Chadbourn Family Practice.
She is survived by a son, Kameron Benton (Maria) of Nakina; daughters, Kenya Hill (J.J.) of Nakina, Kelly Coleman Daniel (Johnny) of Leland, Lori Coleman of Nakina, Tonni Coleman, of Greenville, NC ; brothers, Jody Fowler (Angel) of Nakina, Jeff Fowler (Wendy) of Mollie; sisters, Sandra Simmons (Ray) of Clarendon, Pam Fisher (Kris) of N. Augusta, GA, Marilyn Causey (Rodney) of Loris SC, Babby Hedwin (David) of Green Sea, SC, Kim Ward of Clarendon, Pennie Hill of Nakina; grandchildren, Katlin Hill, Dawson Benton, Dylan Benton, Dakota Benton, Kenadee Hill, Kamden Hill, Klein Hill, Ryan Herring, Blair Gore, Charlie Gore, Tamatha Donovan, Justin Gortman, Austin Gortman, Luke Taylor; companion, Sammy Jacobs of Nakina.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Scott Gore.
Burial will be in the Coleman – Ward Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
