Shelley Michelle Strickland, age 51 of the Cherry Grove Community in Cerro Gordo, entered into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, following a recent battle with cancer.
Michelle was born on August 11, 1970, daughter of Mary Jo Shelley Strickland and the late Danny Strickland. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mollie Strickland and her former husband and father of her children, Stephen Williamson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, in the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Stephens Family Cemetery, Evergreen.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45, prior to the service on Friday.
Michelle held a 30-year nursing career, serving as a Registered Nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed the beach, a place where many family memories were made.
In addition to her mother, Michelle is survived by her loving children, Heather Nance (Brandon) of Raleigh, Charlton Williamson (Ashley) of Cerro Gordo, Victoria Williamson of Little River; grandson, Addison Grate; siblings, Tiffany Rapelye (Gene) of Wilmington, and Dana Strickland of Cerro Gordo. Michelle also leaves behind five special nieces and nephews!
