Peggy J. Inman, age 74 of Evergreen, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022, at her home, surrounded by family. 

Joyce was born on May 7, 1948, in Robeson County, to the late Luther Bradley Atkinson and Gladys Ruth Bass Atkinson. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harriett Lane Griffy, and Luther Jimmy Atkinson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church, with Pastor Ricky Donaldson and Rev. Russell Long officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

Survivors include her husband William “Willie” Inman of the home; children, William Paul “Billy” Inman and wife, Ann Marie, of Evergreen, Rebecca “Becky” Inman Williamson and husband, Richard, of Evergreen; grandchildren, Jordan Brooke Williamson, Megan I. Derosa, Hannah I. Roldan, William Cody Inman, Bailey C. Whitehead, Morgan Campbell; great-grandchildren, Liam Derosa, Valen Roldan, Carlie Jess “CJ” Inman, Elizabeth Jane Whitehead, Anna Lee Grace Whitehead; siblings, Jerry Wayne Atkinson (Melinda) of Smyrna, TN, and Kay A. Hendricks of Whiteville.
