Sadie M. Marley 81, of Whiteville, NC entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Tabor Commons Assisted Living Facility, Tabor City, NC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John Thomas Clarida and Mrs. Rhoda Bellamy Clarida of Nakina, NC; Mrs. Sadie was also preceded in by by one sister, Ms. Linda Clarida.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 1:00pm from St. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Whiteville, NC with Pastor Gregory Hewett eulogizing. Burial will follow in the Marley Family Cemetery.
A walkthrough viewing will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 3 to 6pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel and following the service on Saturday.
Mrs. Marley is survived by her husband: Mr. George William Marley of the home, one daughter: Ms. Jacqueline (Jackie) Marley of Irvington, NJ, two grandsons, two great granddaughters raised in the home: Nonyai Marley and Tyasia Marley, three great grands, five sisters: Mrs. Mavis Powell of Union, NJ, Mrs. Rhoda (Madie) Goldston of Clark, NJ, Mrs. Virginia Purdie of Fayetteville, NC, Mrs. Bernice Jones of Whiteville, NC, and Mrs. Phyllis Gardenhire of Princeton, NJ; two brothers: Mr. Thomas Clarida of Whiteville, NC, and Mr. Robert F. (Bobby) Clarida of Fayetteville, NC, and a host of family and friends.
