All across Columbus County, Dixie Youth softball are heading to state playoffs on July 7. The town of Lake Waccamaw wanted to show both their pride and support of the East Columbus players, so they held a parade in honor of tournament bound teams on Thursday afternoon at 6 p.m.
Residents, proud parents, and town leaders gathered at Elizabeth Brinkley Park, Columbia Avenue, Lakeshore Drive, and Flemington Drive to send the little ladies off in style. The tournament begins tomorrow in Town Creek.
