Two single-vehicle wrecks this weekend claimed the lives of the drivers.
In the first crash, a motorcyclist crossed the center line and struck a ditch, Trooper Trevor Bryan of the Highway Patrol said. Jeremy Jacobs, 29, of Farmers Union was heading east on Carver Moore Road near Old Northeast Road, operating his 2001 Honda, when he went off the left side and crashed. There was no indication of excessive speed in the wreck, Bryan said. The crash occurred at 8:10 p.m.
The second crash happened Sunday morning.
Terry Nordman, 57, was traveling east on Williamson Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Macedonia Church Road. His F150 truck went through the intersection, struck a ditch and overturned. A passenger in the truck is expected to fully recover, Bryan said.
The fatalities were the twelfth and thirteenth on county roads this year.
