Fred Buck age 83, of the Pireway Community Tabor City, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC. Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Guy Austin Buck and Georgia Lee Grice Buck.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Grainger Buck of the home, one daughter, Sheila Powell (Darrell) of Tabor City, NC, one son, Randy Buck (Tammy) of Tabor City. One brother, Carl Buck of Leland, NC, six grandchildren, Kevin Powell, Stephanie Powell (Justin) Bucky Buck (Lindsey) Miranda Beck (Steven) Corey Buck (Amanda), Helen Buck; nine great grandchildren, Austin Fisher, Randall Buck, Allyson Buck, Brynlee Buck, Keayln Beck, Sadie Beck, Dalton Beck, Liam Buck, Aubrie McPherson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Lee Smith, Virginia Cox, Dorothy Chestnutt, one brother, Guy Buck.
He was a member of Pireway Original Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Pireway Original Freewill Baptist Church, Tabor City with burial in the Jacobs Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
