January 18, 1936 ~ December 15, 2023 (age 87)
Odis Glee Cribb, 87, of the Beaverdam community of Whiteville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Odis was born on January 18, 1936, son of the late King Dewey Cribb and Rosa Hinson Cribb. He was also preceded in death by his grandchild, Casey Cribb and his siblings, Retha McPherson, and Fleetie Kinlaw.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Buddy Seay and Pastor Jeremy Cribb officiating. A private burial will follow in the family cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service, at the church.
Odis was a faithful member of Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, where he served in various roles, including the Senior Boys Sunday School Teacher of 40 plus years.
The surviving family includes his loving wife, Jeanette McPherson Cribb; children, Glenn Cribb and his wife, Beth, of Whiteville, Ronda Cribb Denham and her husband, Robert, of Whiteville, Jeremy Cribb and wife, Amy, of Chadbourn; sister, Reba Kendrick of Highpoint; grandchildren, Adam Cribb, Allison Cribb, Drew Denham, LeAnn Wood, Eli Cribb, and Nathaniel Cribb; brother-in-law, Marvin McPherson of Beaverdam; great-grandchildren, Emma Wood and Charlie Wood, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Liberty Home Care & Hospice, especially Christy Bowen and Loretta Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Home Care and Hospice of Whiteville.
