Boys Had Fake ‘Weapon’ on Campus

The sheriff’s office reported that four boys, ages 10 to 12, were photographed posing with what appeared to be a “weapon” on the campus of West Columbus School. The incident was reported at 1:57 p.m. The sheriff’s office did not detail what kind of weapon was involved.

Upon further investigation, the weapon turned out not to be real, according to the sheriff’s office.

The case was referred to Juvenile Justice for review.

The call came a little more than two hours after the K-8 campus received a “a threat of mass violence”, the CCSO reported. No one was injured and the threat was unfounded.
