Reverend Jeremiah Wayne Henderson, age 50 of Whiteville, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday evening, January 25, 2024.
Pastor Henderson was born on October 23, 1973. He was preceded in death by his son, James “Jarick” Richard Henderson; his grandparents, Webb and Margaret Henderson, and Ralph Kelley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Union Valley Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 prior to the service on Wednesday, at the church.
Jeremiah was serving as Pastor of Union Valley Baptist Church in Whiteville. He was a graduate of the Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville, NC.
The surviving family includes his two daughters, Savannah Henderson and Casey Henderson, both of Hartsville, SC; his parents, Rev. Richard Wayne Henderson and Billie Gail Kelley Henderson of Westminster, SC; siblings, Daniel Henderson (Krista) of Hartsville, SC, Joanna Elvington (Robin) of Lake View, SC; maternal grandmother, Nettie Carol Kelley of Meadow Creek, WV; nieces, Triniti, Abigail, Lili, Sara Ruth; five uncles, four aunts, and many loving cousins, and friends.
