December 19, 1948 ~ February 17, 2024 (age 75)
Carolyn Smith Reynolds, 75, of the Macedonia Community in Evergreen, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born on December 19, 1948, daughter of the late Rod Hector Smith and Lena Carmell Johnson Smith. She was the widow of Jack Lee Grand Reynolds.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Stocks officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
Carolyn was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Cerro Gordo.
Carolyn leaves behind her children, Michelle Reynolds Sexton and husband, Kelly, of Tarboro, Chris Reynolds and wife, Penny, of Evergreen; grandchildren, Lauren Sexton Riddick and husband, Jared, of Tarboro, Christopher Reynolds of Evergreen, Jacob Sexton of Greenville, NC; sister, Libby Smith Bowen and husband, Jack, of Whiteville; special friends, Sandra Ward, and Sue Williamson; loving caregivers, Samantha Blackwell and Doris Simmons.
Special thanks to the Gentiva Hospice for all their loving kindness shown to Ms. Carolyn during her sickness.
