Catherine “Cathy” Baldwin Bell 57, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Columbus Regional Heathcare. She was born February 21, 1967 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Carlton E. and Sarah Blackburn Baldwin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Bell; a son, Grayson Bell of the home; a sister, Amy B. Bailey (Sammy) of Whiteville; a nephew, Landon Bailey (Lala) of Carrboro; a niece, Addie Bailey of Whiteville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Victoria Baldwin.
Cathy, known to many as “CatCat,” embodied grace, compassion, and love in everything she did. As a mother, aunt, sister, wife, friend, and nurse, she touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact in the hearts and minds of others. She was a genuine soul that will forever be remembered and missed by her loved ones. CatCat’s kind and caring spirit will forever live on within the souls of those fortunate to know her.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Sammy Bailey, Bud Baldwin, Michael Bruce, Cole Hilbourn, Christopher Scott and Wesley Stoll. Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2024 at Western Prong Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilson and Rev. Chip Hannah officiating.
Her family will receive friends at 12:30 pm at the church. Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Whiteville High School Diamond Club at 380 High Orchard Rd. Whiteville NC 28472.
