Hazel Ruth Ellis Coleman, 86, of Princess Ann Road, Chadbourn, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Hazel was born on August 29, 1937, in Columbus County, daughter of the late Fred Ellis and Golia Jane Coleman Ellis.
Funeral services commemorating Hazel’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, from the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Donald Conway officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will speak to friends one hour prior to the service (2:00-2:45), at the church.
The surviving family includes four children, Vicky Sealey of Chadbourn, Michael Coleman (Sandy) of Chadbourn, Angela Coleman of White Lake, Nancy Jung (Seung) of Mooresville; siblings, Fred Ellis (Sue) of Lumberton, James Ellis (Pat) of Asheville, Larry Ellis (Ann) of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
