Tabor Talk Column for Feb. 28

From the Tabor City Chamber of Commerce

We would love for you to join us Thursday, February 29, for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our new member, T & G Specialty Cleaning Service, at the Town Gazebo at 10 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

This past week we held our 78th Annual Banquet at the Todd House Wedding & Event Center.  A great time was had by all.  Congratulations again to each award winner.  Photos and a story were in last week’s edition of the Tabor-Loris Tribune

We will travel to our neighboring town of Chadbourn on Saturday, March 16 for the Ribbon Cutting event of Brown Street Station. More details soon.

We are so excited to continue to serve as the Volunteer Bunny for our area’s Easter Egg Hunt. Columbus County Parks and Recreation is the sponsoring organization and they have set the date of Saturday, March 23 for Tabor City.

Please bring your kids out to Tabor City School for the Egg Hunt.  We plan to begin promptly at 10 a.m., so you may want to arrive a tad early.  Please note that the rain date is March 30 at 10 a.m.

Stay tuned for more information regarding our Annual Bass Tournament which will be held in mid-May.

The Fourth Annual Spring Has Sprung Festival date has been changed to the first Saturday in June.  This year, that first Saturday is on June 1.  We will have all types of vendors, a parade, car show, entertainment, KidsZone (featuring Flimsy the Clown) and much more!  Please note that, moving forward, the festival will continue to be held the first Saturday in June.

The 37th Annual Columbus County Fireworks Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 2 at South Columbus High School. Let Freedom Ring with an evening of entertainment, concessions, and fireworks.

We have a calendar filled with exciting things to come!  Call us if you would like to know more.
