Anthony William Young, Jr., 35, of council passed on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Novant New Hanover Regional Hospital. He was born in Columbus county, the son of Anthony William Young and Tina Rose Hewett Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gloria Patrick, paternal grandfather, William Franklin Young, and an uncle Willie N “Buck” Patrick, Jr.
He is survived by a daughter, Kaylee Morgan Powell of Cerro Gordo; his mother Tina Rose Patrick of Council; father, Anthony William Young, of Council; maternal grandfather, Willie N. Patrick, Sr., of Council, NC; paternal grandmother, Elvie Young of Council.
His funeral service will be Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church with Rev. Mike Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.
