Helen Bowen Williams 97, of Whiteville passed on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Autumn Care in Shallotte. She was born November 6, 1926 in Tampa, FL the daughter of the late Amons Bowen and Clarkie Stalvey Bowen.
In her younger years, Helen was a seamstress and neighborhood beautician. She was a loving mother and homemaker. At Autumn Care where she resided for 5 years she was known by everyone as Grandma.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynda Soles of Whiteville, Patsy Oot of Whiteville and Martha Morris (Chuck) of Fulks Run, VA; Sons, Ronald Wade of Florida and Tommy Wade (Kathy) of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Timmy Collins, Wendy Morgan, Rachel Glott, Randi Morris Sheffer, Ronneil Wade, Tammy Morris, Angie Strickler, Marcus Morris, Andrew Wade, Kelly Wade, Andrea Sue Wade, Cindy Northrup, Riley Lewis, Reece Lewis, and Brandy Lewis; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Williams; daughter, Amanda Lewis, son, Johnell Wade; grandson, Ryan Lewis; brothers, Sam Bowen, Seabrook Bowen, Bob Bowen, Jack Causey; sister, Lucy Jordan.
Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Greene and Rev. Mack Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Peacock Funeral Home prior to her service in the chapel.
