The reward for information leading to the arrest of Antonio Maultsby Jr.’s killer stands at $2,600.
Two more individuals added to the $1,500 reward offered yesterday (Wednesday) by the sheriff’s office. The donors asked that they remain anonymous, the sheriff’s office said in a social media post.
Antonio Jamal Maultsby Jr. would have turned eight years old next week. He was shot and killed in his home at 2089 Braswell Rd., Chadbourn, Saturday around 9 p.m. The boy was struck twice in the chest, and pronounced dead at Columbus Regional.
Six people were inside the home when the shooting occurred, according to the report. No other injuries were listed. The sheriff’s office has not released any additional information in the killing.
Sheriff Bill Rogers said Chadbourn Police and the State Bureau of Investigation are assisting in the case.
