Wanda Larita Shaffer Kozakovsky

June 2, 1944 – March 17, 2024

Wanda Larita Shaffer Kozakovsky, 78, of Whiteville passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, while at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was born on June 2, 1944, in Clarion County, Pennysylvania.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, James Shaffer and Minnie Gumtrum, her husband Guy VanDerburg, and two brothers, Jimmie Shaffer and Sam Shaffer. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Ken Kozakovsky (Bobbie) of Whiteville, Todd Kozakovsky of Pennysylvania and Bob Kozakovsky (Jackie) of Pennsylvania, one daughter, Brenda Hollingsworth (Kevin) of Elizabethtown, one brother, John Shaffer (Judy) of Liberty, NC, two sisters, Vickie Walters (Tom) of Pennsylvania, Lola Adams (Dan) of Pennsylvania, 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Wanda was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her heartstrings, especially those grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was proud of each of them and enjoyed bragging to others about them. She enjoyed her flowers, watching the hummingbirds feed and cooking. Wanda loved to feed folks and was known for her egg bread recipe. On Sundays, she enjoyed a good NASCAR race and at other times, she enjoyed walking around Walmart and shopping. Her love for her family and friends will live on as her legacy in the hearts of those that love her so dearly.
