December 3, 1933 ~ April 17, 2024 (age 90)
Daniel Gore was born December 3, 1933 and passed away peacefully at his home April 17, 2024. He passed away in the house that he was born in and lived there all 90 years.
He was a farmer and grew tobacco, corn and soybeans. He raised Hampshire breeding stock.
Although Daniel was not the oldest member, he was the oldest church member at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.
He was the Bible barer in the first vacation bible school in 1933.
He loved the Lord. He embodied the fruits of the spirit: love, meekness, kindness and goodness. He was an ordained minister and pastored a radio program. He was also pastor at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in 1977-1978. he attended church regularly and was active as long as he was physically able.
His parents D. Scott Gore and Dorothy L. Gore preceded him in death. He has one sister living, Kathleen Gore.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.
His Funeral Service will be Monday April 22, 2024 at 2:00pm at Peacock Funeral Homes Chapel, burial will follow in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park with The Rev. Dave Heller officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service at Peacock Funeral Home.
