Here’s today’s Bottom Line
It’s going to be a hot one today… unseasonably hot temps pushing into the middle 90s with heat index values just under the criteria threshold. If you have outdoor plans, make sure you stay well hydrated.
The rest of the forecast period will be dominated by a meandering frontal boundary. This weak front will likely windshield-wiper back and forth over the area, resulting in scattered showers and thunderstorms. We’re not going to have any washouts but Saturday looks like the higher chances for the weekend.
A much stronger front should push into the area by mid-week. Temps will be much cooler and storm chances should wrap up with this frontal passage.
TROPICS: Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located a few hundred miles east of Bermuda remain disorganized. Development appears less likely than previously anticipated, although some slight development remains possible during the next couple of days as the system moves slowly westward over the subtropical Atlantic.
