Emma Lee Nobles Edwards, 89, of Chadbourn, met her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Emma Lee was born on November 4, 1934, in Columbus County, daughter of the late William “Willie” Lee Nobles and Minnie Lee Nobles. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph “Joe” Edwards; siblings, Alton Nobles, Archie Nobles, Elroy Nobles, Earl Nobles, Gladys Prevatte, Mary Creech, Kathleen Hilbourn, Sarah Robinson, Onzie Nobles.
Emma Lee was a homemaker, always assuring her family was well taken care of. She was a lifetime member of Ward Station Church of God, of which she served in various roles over the years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Ward Station Church of God. Burial will follow in the Mercer Cemetery.
The family will speak to friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the church.
The surviving family includes four children, Randy Edwards (Gail), Tim Edwards (Joy), Sandy Coleman (Michael), Mike Edwards (Denice), all of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Brandy Turbeville, Emily Hanson, Michelle Coleman, Dillan Edwards, and Ryan Edwards; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sadie N. Hammonds and Martha N. Duncan, both of Chadbourn.
