ynthia Lou Compton, age 69, of Cerro Gordo, NC, passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Cynthia was born on April 22, 1955 to the late Charles Compton and Elizabeth Lord Compton.
Cynthia worked for several years as a Supervisor with Century 21.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters; Katrina Cribb Walker (Mike) of Whiteville and Karen Lou Cribb (Mike) of Chadbourn, two sons; Ronald Cribb of Clarkton and Ned Watts (April) of Cerro Gordo, a sister; Linda Cribb of Aynor, SC, two brothers Jimmy Compton and Terry Compton both of Myrtle Beach, SC, 6 Grandchildren; Cynthia Ward (Nathan), Marlee Wilkins (Bryan), Nolan Cribb, Molly Ray, Carissa Ray and Thatcher Watts, and one Great Grandchild; Roselynn Williams.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Compton family.
