Johnathan Terrille Jordan will spend the next 10 to 23 years in prison on drug trafficking charges.
Jordan, 36, was found guilty on two counts each of trafficking opioids and heroin, plus possession of drug paraphernalia, in Columbus Superior Court Wednesday. Superior Court Judge Tiffany Powers sentenced him to 225-282 months in prison, ten years supervised probation and a $500,000 fine.
In June of 2022, the District Attorney’s office said, a detective with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office observed Jordan make several traffic violations. The detective stopped Jordan’s vehicle, and asked him to exit the car. As he stepped out, a Crown Royal bag containing drugs fell from his pants. Jordan admitted that the bag included cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and pills. Subsequent tests by the N.C. State Crime Laboratory showed the substances included heroin, fentanyl, and oxycodone.
The District Attorney’s office thanked the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the State Crime Laboratory for their work in the case.
