The Thursday night lights didn’t shine bright for two of the three county football teams that moved their games due to the forecast rain for tonight.
Whiteville brought a win home Thursday from Clinton, dropping the Darkhorses 42-7. It was the fourth loss out of four games for the Clinton team. The pack is off next week.
East Columbus lost a hard fought game to West Bladen, 26-19. The Vikings of West Columbus lost their game with St. Pauls Thursday, 0-55.
The one local team with play remaining this week is South Columbus. The Stallions take on the 0 and 3 Union Spartans tonight at 7 at Union in Sampson County.
