Rev. Paul Lambert

February 8, 1950 ~ September 3, 2024 (age 74)

Rev. Paul Lambert, 74, passed away September 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on February 8, 1950, in Georgetown, SC, he was the son of the late Archie and Josie Ray Lambert.  Rev. Lambert was a faithful man of God for over 44 years, who had a passion for sharing the gospel and serving others.  He most recently served as the Pastor of Mission Valley Free Will Baptist Church in Clarendon, NC since 2016.  In addition to his love for the Lord, Rev. Lambert loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting with his sons.  He is a US Army Veteran that served two tours in Vietnam and served 18 years in the Army National Guard. During his service in the military, he received many recognitions and ribbons, including the Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal, and Bronze Star Medal.

Survivors include two sons, John Wesley Lambert (Melissa) of Greenville, SC; Lee Marvin Lambert (Stephanie Harrelson) of Galivants Ferry, SC; 1 grandson Justin Lee Lambert (Payton) of Nichols, SC; 1 great grandchild Emelia Grace Lambert; one brother, Douglas Lambert (Linda) of Andrews, SC; three sisters, Josie “Mackie” Pope of Coral Springs, FL; Sharon Hearl and Brenda Nesbitt (Gerald), both of Georgetown, SC; and sisters-in-law, Ada Lambert of Belvedere, SC, and Marilyn Lambert of Andrews, SC.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Terry Alane of Whiteville, NC; parents Archie and Josie Ray Lambert of Andrews, SC; two brothers, Archie Lambert, Jr. of Belvedere, SC, and David Lambert of Andrews, SC; a sister, Wille Jane Gray of Georgetown, SC; three brothers-in-law, Daniel Hearl of Georgetown, SC, Milton Pope of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Donald Gray of Georgetown, SC.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. NC.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Mission Valley Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Seay, Rev. Darwin Cook, and Rev. Chris Hardee officiating. Burial will follow in the Fowler-Stanley Cemetery, Clarendon, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Mission Valley OFWB Church.
