Joyce Hill Nance, 94, of Evergreen, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Lower Cape Fear Angel House.
Joyce was born on August 21, 1930, daughter of the late John Everett Hill and Edith Nelson Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Monroe “Will” Nance; sons, Larry Rufus Nance, Willie Monroe Nance, Jr.; sister, Peggy Cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Evergreen Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.
The surviving family includes her children, Terry Wayne Nance (Amy) of Fayetteville, Mitchell “Mitch” Nance (Beverlee) of Whiteville, Susie N. Ward (Gene) of Winnabow, John Addie Nance of the home; daughter-in-law, Sandra Nance; grandchildren Sonya Lawson, Brandt Nance, Kevin Bridger, Trevor Nance, Alexandria Wright, Kameron Nance, Kristopher Nance, Cory Ward, Cody Ward, Meghan Nance, Caitlin Nance, Chelsea King; great-grandchildren, Dylan Lawson, Ty Lawson, Zander Nance, Beckham Nance, Aniston Hill, Phoebe Nance, Aidan Wright, Joanna Nance, Connor Nance, Rheya Collins, Skylah Collins, Reid Hester, Rhett Hester; sister, Eliece Johnson.
The family wishes to thank Joyce’s two special givers, Ernestine Ward and Phyllisteen Brown for their loving care given many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville or to the Evergreen Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
