Ruby Walker Thompson of Whiteville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born February 17, 1927 to the late Franklin Walker and Vernie Coleman Walker.
She is survived by her grandson, Roy Wayne Thompson (Samantha) of Whiteville; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Zayne Thompson, Caleb Walker Thompson and Chloe Elizabeth Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Roy Thompson; sons, David Wayne Thompson and Harold Dane Thompson; daughter, Diane Thompson Searcy; granddaughter, Andrea Gale Thompson; great-grandson, Samuel Ray Thompson; siblings, Richard F. Walker, Margaret Walker Hufham, Oneil Walker, Mabelene Walker Carter.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 2:00pm at Peacock Funeral Home’s Chapel. With Rev. Nate Lynch Officiating. Burial will follow in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
