Hello friends and neighbors, Meteorologist Christopher Cawley here with your CCN weather update for Christmas Eve 2024.
We have a little wave of low pressure lifting northeastward off the coast this morning. This is throwing some showers over the area … but will be a memory by later this afternoon with improving sky conditions. Chilly temps today only around 50.
Tonight will be mainly clear and crisp, lows in the lower 30s. A perfect Christmas Eve night.
For Christmas Day, wall-to-wall sunshine is expected with seasonable temps in the mid to upper 50s.
We’re high-and-dry through at least Saturday thanks to fairly strong high pressure ridging over the area. Our next weather system will move into the area by late weekend or early next week, pushing a cold front across the area. This front could result in our next rain chances Sunday night or Monday.
That’s all for today, folks, short and sweet. For Columbus County News, this is Meteorologist Christopher Cawley wishing you and your family all the choicest blessings this Christmas.
