Boil Advisory Issued for District II

Water coming out of the faucet

County water customers in District II are dealing with discoloration while crews make emergency repairs, the county said this morning.
A boil advisory has been lifted due to backflow causing discoloration and potential debris in the water. All water used for consumption should be boiled for one minute for the next 24 hours, county officials said.

Affected areas are along Chadbourn highway between the 1300 and 2300 blocks, and Fruit Ridge Road.
The system should be clear by Wednesday. Customers who continue to have water concerns should call 910.770.2158.
