Tabor Talk for January 8, 2025

By Dianne Nobles Ward

Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce

We hope that all of you had a glorious holiday season.  It’s hard to believe that we are already a week into this new year.  May 2025 be a blessed year filled with good health, with much success and loads of prosperity for all.

Our chamber board will soon be meeting to get plans rolling for 2025.  If you are a current member of your hometown GTC Chamber of Commerce, be on the lookout for a few organizational and housekeeping items to come in the mail (i.e. the ballot to vote on incoming board members and the invitation to the annual banquet to be held in February).  More details will be in our next column on Jan. 22.  As always, for more information, simply give our office a call.

Please know that you do not need to be a member of this chamber to attend the annual banquet.  Just call us should you wish to attend.  Our banquet is open to all.

Should you desire to join our membership, please contact us at 910-377-3012 or 910-840-0292.  We would love to hear from you. Our current members tell us how much they enjoy the way this chamber promotes them.

We are currently working on a couple of promotional items, in general, that will benefit our business community at large.  We will share more on that in the months ahead as we are partnering with other entities on these projects.  Like we have all learned, progress takes a little time.

The Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce loves to serve our membership and the Tabor City community as much as we possibly can.  Contact us at 910-377-3012 or tccofc@yahoo.com.

Regular Office days and hours of operation are Tuesday -Thursday, 9  a.m. to  2 p.m.  We are pleased to announce that we will again operate with the schedule as established several years ago. Thank you for understanding while we had to temporarily adjust our hours ever so slightly last year.

Keep reading this bi-weekly column for upcoming event info. Just to mention a few of the annual events to come ranging from February to the summer: banquet in February, Spring Has Sprung Festival on April 5 (now set to be held on the First Saturday each year, and Flimsy the Clown will be back), County Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12 (we enjoy being a Volunteer Bunny), Bass Fishing Tournament in May (date tba), Columbus County Fireworks Celebration in July (date tba), with lots more to come!

May 2025 be a big year to thrive!
