Jimmy “Pete” Levon Best, of Riegelwood NC, passed away February 24, 2025. He was born to the late William Paul Best and Mary Louise Todd Best .
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Inman Best; children, Mallory Hope Best, Vallory Best Simmons (Skye J Simmons), Jimmy Levon Best Jr., Courtney Wise, Emily Wise, Thomas Reynolds, Ryan Best, Kristin Moore (Arthur); brother, Ray Best (Tammie); sister, Diane Phillips; grandchildren, Nathaniel Best, Isabella Best, Zachary Ward Jr., Hunter Simmons, Luke Simmons
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kitty Tall.
His graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 2:00pm at Weyman Cemetery located at 5692 Old Stage Rd Riegelwood NC 28456 with the Rev. Mark Player and Rev. Ryan Everette officiating.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Peacock Funeral Home.
