Around 200 athletes are expected to participate in this year’s Special Olympics Spring Games, and sponsors are seeking support for the program.
This year’s field day is set for April 9 at the Whiteville High School Soccer Field. While Special Olympics is best known for the big annual events, the program goes on throughout the year. The program relies on sponsors to help fund the event, since athletes are never charged to participate.
Individual and corporate sponsors are welcome.
Contact Kristen Greene at kgreene@whiteville.k12.nc.us, via facebook page messenger, or (910) 918-0514. Sponsors can also drop off donations to Kelly Burchette at CC Farm Bureau insurance office, 113 W. Smith St., Whiteville. Make checks payable to SOCC.
