David Lawrence Haynes, 81, fondly known as “DL,” of 1014 Toon Road, Whiteville, NC, died Monday, March 3, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 8, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Timothy A. Lance. Burial will be in the Haynes Family Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and at the church Saturday following the service.
Surviving are his daughter, Cassandra Lewis of Whiteville; sisters, Pauline George and Jean McDonald of Whiteville.
