
Davene Cox Fowler will present a paper on “Kinship of the Members of St. Paul Methodist Church” Saturday at the Southeastern Genealogical Society Meeting.
The presentation was written by Richard Wright, and focuses on Margaret Cox Lay Wright. Fowler is a member of St. Paul. She is also a Christian recording artist, with five CDs to her name. She performed vocals and instrumentals at one of the events for the Presidential Prayer Breakfast service in Washington, D.C., for the George W. Bush Inauguration.
The Tabor city native also was part of Hollywood Invasion Project, the first Christian event held at Paramount Studios, Hollywood, Calif. She traveled extensively internationally for missions, visiting 44 countries in 22 years.
She is currently the full time administrative assistant at Columbus County School’s Facility Services and Operations, and is the president and founder of Design By Davene, a decorating and events business.
