Developing story

A wildfire at the end of Crusoe Island Road is being fed by gusty winds and dry conditions this afternoon (Tuesday).
The N.C. Forest Service has redeployed some units from the Holly Shelter Fire on the New Hanover/Pender county line.
Dangerous wildfire conditions are expected to continue for the next week. Today’s stronger winds and lower humidity are expected to exacerbate conditions today.
