Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Another short report this morning. A high pressure ridge keeps bright sunshine and low humidity about the area for today and tomorrow. Skies will be clear, winds will be calm.
High temps will be right around the seasonal normal value for mid-September, in the mid to upper 80s today and Thursday, with early morning lows in the lower to middle 60s.
Air mass modification begins on Friday as highs jump into the 90s. Dewpoints will jump into the 70s indicative of increased humidity.
Another cold front will slip down from the northwest over the weekend. This front is expected to be weak but there should be enough lift with the front (combined with the seabreeze) to trigger at least isolated to widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
TROPICS: A trough of low pressure located about 700 miles east-southeast of Bermuda continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to become a little more conducive for development in a couple of days while the system moves slowly westward to west-northwestward over the subtropical Atlantic.
