The Columbus County Planning Board on Tuesday reversed its plans to regulate campers as primary dwellings in the county.

The move came after county commissioners sent the proposed ordinance back to the planning board for review.

Several dozen residents spoke out against the plan, which would have required camper trailers and RVs used as homes to meet the same setup standards as mobile homes.
